Joyful Family Music

Little Beets is a weekly hands-on music class created especially for our youngest musicians and their caregivers. It offers a warm, playful introduction to the joy of making music together. While the class is designed with children ages 18 months–3 years in mind, all are welcome to join!

Each week, folks come together to explore rhythm, melody, and movement in ways that are developmentally appropriate, creative, and fun. Led by East Falls local Bekki Schwartz — a PK–12 music teacher, songleader, songwriter, and one half of the family music duo The Blumbellies — the program is rooted in her deep experience as both a teacher and performer. Bekki brings energy, warmth, and a love of music that makes every session engaging for kids and grown-ups alike.

Little Beets is more than just a music class — it’s a chance to build connection. Children develop key skills in rhythm, listening, and expression, while caregivers get to share in the joy of making music alongside them. The result is a space filled with creativity, discovery, and laughter.

Whether your little is shaking a tambourine, dancing to the beat, or simply soaking in the sounds, Little Beets provides a joyful foundation for a lifelong love of music.
